Location

Part of what makes our picnics so special is that they are secluded! We offer curated pop-up experiences perfect for an elevated date night, social gatherings, proposal and wedding picnic services at our family's private 54 acre farm and venue, The Little Chapel at Haven Ridge. Choose from scenic areas like our lakeside or waterfall, meadows or chapel! Coming this summer to the grounds, The Solarium, a stunning 1500 sq. ft. glass greenhouse with 360° views of the property which invites the outdoors in.

  • Where are you located?
    We are located on a private property conveniently from major cities including: 10 minutes from Downtown Winston-Salem, NC 35 minutes from Greensboro, NC 75 minutes from Charlotte, NC 1 hr 45 minutes from Raleigh, NC We do not publically share our address to remain a tranquil and private space. Our address is only shared with invited guests by appointment. Thank you for understanding.
  • Can I drop by for a tour?
    Due to the property being a gated and privately owned residence, site visits/tours by any parties must be scheduled via phone or email to thelittlechapelnc@gmail.com to coordinate any visits at a convenient time for both our family and visitors. As we welcome you in our home, we hope you will make joyous lasting memories and ask you to treat it like your own backyard.
  • Is there free parking, valet or shuttle?
    Yes, ample designated parking is available on site. We have two parking areas and handicap accessibility and parking by the chapel. We also offer golf cart shuttle and valet parking.
  • Can I drop by for a tour?
    Due to the property being a privately owned residence, site visits/tours by any parties must be scheduled via phone or email to thelittlechapelnc@gmail.com to coordinate any visits at a convenient time for both the venue and visitors. As we welcome you in our home, we hope you will make joyous lasting memories and ask you to treat it like your own backyard.
  • How large is the space and is it all outdoors?
    The venue serves solely as an outdoor space to host your intimate day. Please note, the venue will not be providing indoor space or restroom access (we recommend renting an on-site portable restroom). The grounds cover 54 acres of land with 1.2 acre lake as well as both plenty of wooded and open field area. The Woodlands (1 acre) is the only area we are allowing weddings to take place at this time. With plenty of key spots for photo opportunities and to assure you make the most of your time during your visit, you will need to arrive on time or up to 15 minutes early to avoid much walking to find your desired spot for photos. We are also here to make location recommendations based on your vision for the day. Just ask! For access to other areas such as the lake and waterfall, please schedule a time with us for a private photo session with your photographer of choice.

    Your picnic includes: Grounds reservation at our private farm in W-S 27103 (no additional fee), champagne OR non-alcoholic beverages, set up, clean up/breakdown, utensils, plates, cups, décor, pillows, rug(s), and more! Your food is not included but Charcuterie or baked goods are an add-on, just head to our menu/add-ons and add them to your cart! We will place the order for you. For restaurant/other food or cake orders, the guest is responsible for placing these orders. If we are picking up for you we do charge a $15 travel fee for anything picked up within 5 miles of 27103. Each picnic we create is one of a kind! We love surprising our guests while taking consideration of what you've filled out on your form as an ideal color scheme and other details to curate a custom picnic just for you.   • How do I reserve my picnic?

  • What is the minimum age to attend a picnic?
    Our picnics are intended to be a luxury experience for adults. Many of the items we supply are not intended for use of children. While we love little ones, picnic guests must be a minimum 12 years of age. Thank you for understanding.
  • Where is Winston-Salem's Picnic Ladies located and do you travel?
    What makes WSPL unique? We are the exclusive picnic planners for a private outdoor sanctuary, The Meadows at Haven Ridge in W-S, NC 27103! Picnic stress-free within sprawling meadows, small lake and waterfall, all conveniently located in the city! At this time, we are not traveling outside of this location. Thank you for understanding! Located on a gated property, all visits must be scheduled. You will receive the address upon booking confirmation.
  • Do Winston-Salem's Picnic Ladies offer packages?
    Winston-Salem's Picnic Ladies packages start at $200 (up to 2 people, $15/per additional person). Maximum of 12 guests. Includes private venue access. Includes: Grounds reservation (no additional fee), champagne OR non-alcoholic beverage and/or cookies OR charcuterie box, set up, clean up/breakdown, utensils, plates, cups, décor, pillows, rug(s), and more.   • What are your picnic hours?
    Monday-Friday 5-8:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-8:30pm (Summer) Monday-Friday 5-7:00pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-7:00pm (Fall) Monday-Friday 5-6:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-6:30pm (Winter)
  • Can I bring my own food and wine/adult beverage?
    Your picnic includes your choice of champagne, sparkling cider, lemonade or water. Outside food/catering is permitted. For those 21+ who wish to bring their own wine or beer you are welcome to do so. Please no red wine or liquor. Local pickup within 5 miles of 27103 zip code starts at $15. Food must be pre-paid.
  • What if it rains?
    If the grounds should be too wet for your picnic, Winston-Salem Picnic Ladies will reach out about rescheduling at no additional cost. Any deposit/balance paid will be applied to your new date.
  • Can I bring my own décor or personal items?
    If you have a specific item in mind that may impact the spacing of the tablescape, just let Winston-Salem's Picnic Ladies know and we can arrange for you to bring the item(s), at an earlier time, to be incorporated in the set up.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    50% minimum of deposit required upon booking approval to secure your date. Cancellation with at least 48 hours notice, eligible for refund minus the cost of expenses/food. 24 hours or less, 50% refundable minus expenses/food charges (as food/charcuterie orders will have been placed by this time) and expenses. Invoice will reflect your custom package.
  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
  • How should I plan for my photo session?
    1. Request an appointment. You or your photographer can head to our Visit Us page to request a specific time and date for a photo session. As a private property, only scheduled visits are permitted to maintain a safe and private space for our guests. Photographer's Bundles are reserved exclusively for Photographers booking for their clients and 5 hour credits may be used within 12 months of claiming. 2. From there you will receive a confirmation email along with more details on parking, directions, etc. if your desired date is available or with an alternative availability if not. Please arrive as close to your booking time as possible (no earlier than 15 min prior) to guarantee the gate is unlocked for you. (We recommend bringing walking shoes!) Should it rain on your scheduled sesison date, your reservation will be transferred to a new date at no additional fee. Note, guests are responsibile for clean up and waste disposal in proper trash and recycling bins on or off-site. Props and furniture are allowed and must be handled by professionals or guests who brought them. Pre-approval of the row boat is required and no guests may be on the water without supervision/presence of the property owners.
  • Can I reschedule my session in the event of inclement weather?
    Absolutely. Your paid session will be credited for your new date. Please reach out to us to coordinate a reschedule.
  • Do you offer a yearly pass or bundle?
    Yes, we do! This is available exclusively to photographers. Includes 5 hours of outdoor photo session time to be used by the hour in durations of a minimum of 1 hr/per session. Expires 12 months after activated and unused hours for the year are non-refundable. Includes exclusive grounds access to our waterfall, 1.2 acre lake, grassy meadows or shady woodlands. EACH VISIT IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. When you have dates/times in mind, request your initial date here and then, please head back to our Photo Session request page to submit multiple/future requests and include in your notes you wish to use credit towards remaining Bundle hours with said booking.   • When can I book my wedding?
    We are now accepting bookings for elopements and microweddings (fall 2022) and mid-sized weddings up to 125 guests (2023).
  • How many people/guests can you host?
    While the chapel stands at an astounding, 34 feet tall, it is still very much a little chapel at just 600 square feet, seating 50 guests for intimate gatherings, celebrations, and worship. Our venue's outdoor space is nearly 10 acres within a 54 acre farm, which can accomidate up to 125 guests. Construction concludes October 2022 and we are now accepting weddings and events for 2023.
  • What packages do you offer?
    Unlike your traditional venue, the Little Chapel and the Meadows is first and foremost a family-owned sanctuary, simply offering a rustic elegant setting and indoor intimate sanctuary to serve as the natural backdrop of your special day. We are happy to make vendor recommendations, but we do not offer in-house planning or other services such as catering. This way, each event can be tailored to craft your unique vision for the space. While our exterior appears as a 16th century inspired stone chapel, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find state-of-the-art technology inside, that brings the Little Chapel into the 21st century.   • What is your pricing?
    Until we are able to begin hosting weddings, we are not disclosing any pricing and have no set rates at this time. When this changes, we will make those updates to our website. Thank you for your patience!
